Another article on a Russian subject, this time in the field of music, was originally entitled "This is Alexander Sergeievitch Speaking," and was commissioned by the San Francisco Symphony for the San Francisco Magazine in January 1984.
I have also written a short, accessible piece for the Russian Orthodox service, a standard choral prayer called the CHERUVIMSKAYA, often translated as the "Song of the Cherubim."
